El salto del Usero, Bullas

Another place to visit near Quemao Viejo is “El salto del Usero”, a small gem in the river Mula, near the town of Bullas.

El salto del Usero is a cascade of three metres, which I used to visit a long time ago and spend hours taking plunges into the natural pools. The cool water will give you a freezing relief from the summer heat, if you dare taking a swim.

This is the “jump” from above,

This is where you would “land” if you dare jumping,

One of the pools,

another one,

In my visit to the place, I met a group of people which where having a day out in “el salto”, among them was Miguel, who kindly let me took some photos while he was enjoying the water, in the middle of October!

After the visit to the river, I headed to Bullas. Even when I had visited Bullas before, It was a nice surprise for me to rediscover that the town is quite pretty. There are many narrow streets with houses painted in all colours, where one can have a serene stroll…but I was hungry, and anyway I believe that towns always look better with evening light, so I decided to have something to eat. I was lucky enough to order this “fritada” with a cool “Estrella”. I will surely visit Bullas again.

Have fun!
