20 Watts solar array and a paella for 400 people!

Before starting the camping at Quemao Viejo, I wanted to try the solar array I designed. It worked beautifully! The 20 Watts solar panel, under the south Spain sun was working at full capacity, and was able to produce power for the 7 watts bulb, the speakers and MP3, and also the laptop ( plugged into the controller via a 100 Watts inverter).

It may sound a bit complicated, and the photo below may look a bit messy, but it is quite simple. More info is available in both previous post “Solar power for Straw Bale Emergency Shelter” y “Portable solar system”

In the afternoon, happy as I was with my success with the power supply, I visited the Romeria of “la Virgen de las Huertas”, where a paella to feed 400 people were cooked and served for free. Yummy!!
